2018 Barolo Cerretta, Agricola Brandini

It was Cerretta that really captured our imagination when we first encountered the Brandini’s wines. It’s a taut, mineral Barolo hailing from a site with exceptionally thin soils (just 30cm) atop limestone. The nose is subtle but complex with spicy and balsamic notes as well as cool red fruit and rose petals. Firm tannins and cleansing acidity characterise the palate, pointing to a long and rewarding future for this wine. Drinking window: 2025-2037
