Emily Johnson

Emily grew up in Oxford, and studied Spanish and History at the University of Edinburgh. Her first role in the wine trade was with Bodegas Franco Españolas in La Rioja, Spain, where she worked as a wine tour and tasting guide in 2022. When Emily returned to the UK, she worked for two years as a wine advisor with the Oxford-based independent wine merchant Grape Minds. She then completed a stage as a cellar hand at RAD Custom Winery, where she supported all aspects of cellar operations throughout the 2025 vintage. In particular, she assisted in the production of the inaugural vintage of the Flint x Alex Moreau cuvee, working closely with Burgundian winemaker Alex Moreau during the Chardonnay fruit processing, barrel work and ferment management. Emily lives in north London and in her spare time enjoys yoga and pilates. Emily holds a WSET Level 3 qualification.
