2022 Pommard Les Chanlins, Domaine Yvon Clerget

Côte de Beaune, Burgundy, France

After spending a couple of years honing his winemaking skills in New Zealand and Oregon, Thibaud decided to return to the family domaine and reinvigorate it, which is exactly what he has done. In 2017 he released his first vintage, the 2015, and has not looked back. Les Chanlins is a 1er Cru vineyard planted on clay-limestone soils and on the steepest slopes of the Pommard appellation, very close to Volnay. The resulting wine has very fine tannins, delicate floral notes and a sort of Volnay elegance.
