2022 Gevrey-Chambertin, Charles Van Canneyt

Gevrey looks to be an appellation that has really played a blinder in 2022. The freshness of the vintage is arguably nowhere better demonstrated than here as the rains of June kept the vines free from hydric stress and at yields that allowed varietal and terroir nuances to really flourish. This is a very expressive version, full of bright, dynamic fruit flavours, that contrast really nicely with the naturally structured power of the appellation. Drink from 2026.
