The 2020 Echézeaux Les Treux Vieilles Vignes Grand Cru,
matured entirely in new oak, needed quite a bit of aeration
to peer behind the veneer of wood. There appears to be good
concentration here. The palate is medium-bodied with ripe
tannins, fine acidity, fleshy and rounded. Yes, there is a sheen
of new oak on the finish but it does feel very silky. Good
potential.
