2022 Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru, Domaine Taupenot-Merme

This was tasting fantastically well and jumped out of the glass shouting ‘look at me, look at me’! The texture is gorgeously svelte, with fine, very noble tannins and a strong dose of limestone energy. The fruit is so bright and airy, and although it has an underlying power and potential to age for a very long time, there is such harmony and balance that it is a delight already. Beautiful wine.
