2022 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Fontenys, Domaine Georges Noëllat

Fontenys is a really nice 1er Cru lying just next to the Grand Cru of Ruchottes Chambertin. It’s another small vineyard within the holdings of the domaine and is a vineyard that has really blossomed in the ’22 vintage. The often stony, mineral character remains to the fore with a lovely mouthwatering length and lingering flavour but it is also glossy and lush which is a truly delicious combination. Jasper describes it as being ‘magical on the palate, and light on its feet, worthy of 93-95 pts. Drink from 2029
