2025 Graft, Syrah, Lukas Van Loggerenberg

Graft is the more profound Syrah that Lukas makes, and it tends to be Lukas’ most celebrated wine on first release. This is mineral-driven with iron-like savoury notes around dark cherries, dark plums and black pepper. Persistent, with an almost unending finish of succulent fruit and salinity. It’s one of his most ageworthy wines, if you can resist.
