Le Clos
Welcome to the club.
Flint was born to bring wines made with care that show their sense of place to the UK. This idea of terroir-driven wines is synonymous with Burgundy. It’s why we’ve called our club Le Clos – a nod to our roots, and a hint towards what to expect. Just like a clos, or vineyard whose terroir is so special it is ‘enclosed’ by a wall, what’s inside this club is a truly exceptional experience, for people who enjoy good wine and the connection it brings.

Le Clos FAQ
Is there a referral programme?
- Yes – for clients new to Flint (households who have not having transacted with us before), £50 credit will be added to your account and £50 to the referee after their first payment is taken. This is wine ‘credit’, not cash, so if you subsequently close your Flint account and wish to withdraw funds, they will net of the referral payment (which you are welcome to use towards wine, however).
What is the benefit to contributing more per month?
- Clients may choose to contribute more than the minimum to manage their wine spend.
- In the future, we plan to add a wine credit mechanism which allows clients to spend three times their monthly subscription. The higher the subscription, the more credit you will be granted.
Can I adjust monthly contributions?
- Yes, you can by contacting our Customer Service team.
- The update will take place in the month following the most recent contribution.
- You may not change the amount more than once per month.
Can I pause contributions?
- Yes, you can pause your contributions for up to three months.
- You will continue to enjoy club benefits during the break.
- After this, membership will automatically be cancelled unless you have advised us in writing (email is fine), prior to the final expiry date, that you wish to restate your membership. After this point, you may need to join our waitlist prior to reentry.
Do I need to commit to a minimum period of time?
- There is no minimum commitment.
Is there a waitlist?
- We will introduce a waitlist in 2026 after the initial places have been taken up.
- We will then prioritise new members based on referrals from existing members, our wine producers, and our own team.
Are there future benefits to look forward to?
- We will aim to introduce the credit facility in late 2026.
- Exclusive access to a regularly updated ‘bin ends’ page where we have just a handful of bottles left from cases broken for our trade partners.
- Barrel offers, including buying part of a barrel with other club members.
When will monthly payments be taken?
- The monthly payment will be taken on or around the day of the month after which you place your first payment.
- For example, if you start your subscription from 9 October 2025, future payments will be taken on that same day each month.
Can I join from Scotland, Northern Ireland or the Highlands & Islands?
- Unfortunately, due to the high cost of delivery, we cannot accept club members who are based in these regions at this time.
- However, if your goal is simply access to these highly sought wines, we can set up a bespoke membership for you which does not include free delivery.
Can I transfer wine to be stored with Flint which I didn’t purchase from Flint directly?
- We will accept full cases of wine transferred from other bonded warehouses.
- We will accept loose bottles if they are condition reported on receipt – the charge would be £15 per SKU (up to 1 9-ltre case) which will be added to your account.
What are your corkage partners?
- We will share a list half-yearly with the restaurants who are participating and the details of their arrangement for Le Clos members.
What wines will be exclusive to the club?
- In general, we will select highly sought, exclusive or otherwise special parcels for the club.
- There is not a standing list of which wines ‘qualify’ however you can expect more and more Flint wines to be exclusive to club members, especially once our website is back online.
How often will there be events for members?
- Flint regularly hosts winemaker dinners and events, all of which are open to club members. Please ask your account manager about what is coming up.
- In addition, on the first Monday of every month, one of the Flint private client account managers will host a BYOB dinner at Cabotte – please ask the team about who is hosting and to RSVP.
