2022 Montagny 1er Cru Garchères, Olivier Leflaive

A new wine for the estate and a fine debut it makes. Montagny was more affected by the drought than the Côte d’Or and the yields here only reached 35 hectolitres per hectare, in part thanks also to the age of the vines which are around 70 years old. This was the first vineyard to be harvested (on the 24th August) and it’s wonderfully compact and intense. The vineyard is quite steep and is a mix of chalk and marne.
