2023 Pernand-Vergelesses 1er Cru Blanc Sous Frétille, Olivier Leflaive

Over the last few years this vineyard has really established itself as a source of mini Corton-Charlemagne, lying just to the north of the expansive Grand Cru. It has all the stony, vibrant, energy of a Corton-Charlemagne but at a fraction of the cost. This version is a fine example of the appellation, showing excellent minerality and tension with a crystalline sense of place. Lots of wine for the money. Drink from 2027
