2022 Montagny 1er Cru Les Truffières, Domaine Bruno Lorenzon

Almost one hectare in size with quite red soil, this vineyard has created a wine of great expression. The nose is a mixture of grapefruit and lees and has real presence in the mouth, especially on the finish. It spends 18 months in barrel (plus a further 4 months in steel) and has weight verging on Grand Cru levels. As my notes made at the domaine state quite simply: ‘this is too good’
