2018 Pommard 1er Cru Clos des Poutures, Domaine Heitz-Lochardet

This monopole vineyard sits just below Les Croix Noires and has 50% whole bunch and 25% new oak. Smoky and quite intense on the nose, it’s deceptively delicate and pretty in the mouth. Some whole bunch character comes through and it’s very fragrant and much more on the red fruit than the black fruit spectrum. Pretty and remarkably delicate for a Pommard.
