2024 Saint-Romain Blanc Le Jarron, Mark Haisma

This is one of Mark’s original wines from his early days, before he was old and grey! (touché, Mark!). Jarron is perhaps the best-known vineyard for Chardonnay in the appellation, and this has good levels of fat for a wine from a supposedly cold part of Burgundy, proof that, despite the headline news of rain, rain and more rain, there were moments of warmth and sunshine.
