This is the second vintage of this wine, made from vines some
way up the slope on soil with more limestone than is often
found in the appellation. The gravelly definition and energy
that this injects into the Aloxe makes a wonderful counterfoil
for the completely ripe, and borderline seductive mid-palate.
And yes, you did not misread that. Seductive and Aloxe were
just used in the same sentence!
