2019 Grace Cabernet Sauvignon, Grace Family Vineyards

From a vineyard purchased in 2016, the 2019 is the first release of the Cornelius Grove. This terraced site has some of the oldest Cabernet Sauvignon vines in Napa, with vines that are over 70 years old. The wine is intense and powerful, but there's a refinement to the tannic structure, with notes of plum and a graphite, herbal note that comes through. The texture is incredibly fine, while the softly-spiced finish lasts an age. Exceptionally well-balanced, this is an astonishingly good inaugural release.
