2022 Echézeaux Grand Cru En Orveaux , Domaine Faiveley

This is the part (one of 11) of Echezeaux that flirts, geographically at least, with Chambolle Musigny, sitting, as it does, on its borders. This Faiveley version is wonderfully fragrant and aromatic, and, whilst the structure is present, it’s understated and fine-featured. The fruit is delightfully bright and full of energy and coolness and almost melts in the mouth, but for the burst of vibrancy that brings it altogether on the finish. This really is quite excellent!
