2022 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Damodes, Domaine Faiveley

Damodes sits above Boudots, Richmone and Chaignots fairly high up on the slope. Faiveley have a whole hectare of this in their portfolio. It’s picked towards the end of the harvest as it ripens a little later due to its altitude. Consequently it’s very plush and luxurious and full of spice and velvety tannins. Much more Vosne than Nuits in texture, but then it does come from the Vosne side. Drink from 2029
