2022 Gevrey-Chambertin 'Vieilles Vignes', Domaine Faiveley

Recent acquisitions mean there is now quite a bit of Gevrey and Faiveley use only the oldest vines from each plot to make this excellent cuvée. Plenty of ripeness here and the fruit has a fairly dark profile, although it stays firmly on the side of red. Balanced and fresh with well-integrated tannins and the fruit remains bright and clean, even though it mingles nicely with the earthiness of the appellation. Good length. Drink from 2027
