2021 Meursault 1er Cru Charmes, Domaine Darviot-Perrin

Forget the traditional image of Charmes being rich and rounded; this is mouthwateringly lit up by a zingy citrussy core, which really accentuates the chiselled sense of saline-fused stone that ignites the palate and salivates the tastes buds. Structurally, it retains a nervous and compact frame which promises much for the future. A lovely wine of real length and weight.
