The first vintage containing all the new vine material planted by owner Matthew Fioretti, the first all in large barrels, and has a strong claim to be the finest wine ever made at the estate. There is incredible detail here, with delineated red and black cherry and wild bramble amongst cool, stony notes, and subtle umami shitake-like aromas. The tannins are bold and mouth-coating, and it finishes with juicy, appetising ripe citrus-like acidity All very delicate now but there’s a brooding depth and backbone, so although it will be delicious to drink early, it will really reward the patient.
