2022 Estate Pinot Noir, Bass Phillip

More forward than the Premium Pinot – with lovely floral, black cherry, sous bois and savoury aromas – but still a sense that there’s lots in reserve. The Estate Pinot is a barrel selection of fruit from the Leongatha vineyard, whose deep, mineral-rich soils find expression in this wine’s combination of plush mid-plate and resounding mineral core. A wine of such complexity and concentration at the start of the flight leaves you wondering, excitedly, just how good its more senior siblings will be.
