2024 Spätburgunder Pinot Noir, Weingut Heinrichshof

We’ve long admired Henrichsof’s Rieslings but this toothsome Spätburgunder (or Pinot Noir) is a relative newcomer to Flint’s range. The grapes are grown in Zeltingen within sight of the River Mosel. Made with around one third whole bunch, the ’24 was raised in steel tanks and neutral oak. The resulting red is thrillingly fresh; light in body but full of character, with exuberant red fruit and floral aromas, and just a hint of savoury spice.
