2022 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Noirot, Domaine Maxime Cheurlin Noëllat

This is one of Maxime’s smallest cuvées and as a vineyard a little less well-known that many of the others he farms. It lies in the northern part of the appellation, nudging towards Bonnes Mares and sharing a boundary with Les Baudes. It is perhaps a little more powerful than the general perception of Chambolle, but in Maxime’s hands it doesn’t stray too far from the seamless, aromatic image of the wines.
