2022 Morey-Saint-Denis 1er Cru Clos Sorbé, Domaine des Lambrays

Like the Clos Baulet, this has come back home. This vineyard is now in its third spell at the domaine in the last 200 years and, judging by its sense of place and cohesion, it feels very much at ease to be back where it belongs. There is not much top soil in the vineyard before the vines hit the mother rock. Consequently, the wine has a lovely delicatesse to it, which gives it a cool, punctuated refinement that stretches into a long salivating finish. Nicely aro[1]matic, with subtle Morey briar and spice elements.
