Medium-bodied, with a delightful, palate-caressing texture, but this remains fresh and energetic. A 50-50 Sém/Sauv blend, it wears its barrel-ageing (20% new) lightly. Sauvignon’s characteristic grassy and gooseberry notes have receded a little, giving way to delicate aromas of plum, pear and honeysuckle. There’s some citrus pith grip towards the finish, which is saline and moreish. 2019 Lagrave blanc is in a lovely place right now – it's utterly charming.
