2023 Raschen Ridge Pinot Noir, Hirsch Vineyards

Raschen Ridge undulates to the extent that almost all aspects are featured here. Powerful, energetic fruit combines with more ethereal, delicate pockets sheltered from the elements. The resulting wines tend to be quite hedonistic, and this cooler 2023 has noticeably high energy, bold tannins and a juicy, slightly bitter citrus edge towards the finish, almost Negroni-esque. Grippy, brooding and highly structured now, this should age beautifully.
