From their idyllic site in the shadows of the imposing hill of Vergisson, the Morats farm organically their small but quality-driven domaine of just 6.5 hectares. In 2020, Pierre joined his parents Gilles and Noëlle at the domaine and seems to be helping to move things to an even higher level. The wines are wonderfully lean and mineral, the perfect foil to the natural richness of the ’22 vintage. The parcel for this cuvee is south facing, the soil is a bit rocky, with lots of limestone but also some marl. The is an impressive wine, with great intensity and structure.
