Seeing 10 months elevage in barrel with
no batonnage, this is (and it seems odd to
say) actually one of the richer whites in the
line-up this year. Lovely deep apple fruit,
both golden and green, is laced with a touch
of sweet baking spice while retaining the
signature mouth-watering freshness for
which Aligoté is known. From two parcels of
vines – Les Plumes planted on the richer clay
soils of Meursault and Le Clou on limestone
in the Hautes-Côtes de Beaune. Another
very impressive Aligoté we came across this
year and well-worth seeking out. Drink from
