Thea Sprawson

Thea was born in London and spent a few years living in Sussex before moving to Somerset, where she was raised. She went to school in Bath before going straight on to study Modern Languages at the University of St Andrews in Scotland where she is currently enrolled. Whilst still at university, she began her career in hospitality as a Food and Beverage Assistant at Babington House in 2023, and then at Wimbledon in 2024. Through these experiences, she progressed to the role of Junior Sommelier in the Members' Restaurant at Wimbledon in the summer of 2025. During this period, she also completed an internship at Chateau Figeac, where she further developed her French language skills. As part of her year abroad, she worked as an English Language Assistant at a primary school in Cádiz, Spain. Thea has completed her WSET Levels 1 and 2 with distinction.
