A strongly reduced nose blocks its evaluation though the overtly muscular big-bodied flavors that are robust and even mildly rustic, all wrapped in a delicious, impressively intense and highly complex finish that evidences plenty of the hallmark youthful austerity. There is an ample amount of underlying tension and like the Les St. Georges, patience will be required.

A very fresh and earthy nose of floral hints and red pinot fruit introduces nicely rich and full flavors that possess good precision on the supple but racy finish that offers both good tension and minerality. A quality villages.

A more expressive nose of earth and herb-infused red berry fruit aromas merge into rich, full and sweet flavors that are precise and slightly edgy on the relatively powerful and solidly structured finish. This offers good complexity and it's classy but the phenolic ripeness is no better than average for the vintage.

This offers a huge step up in both aromatic elegance and depth with a highly complex, pure and airy nose of primarily dark berry fruit, subtle spice notes and soil tones that can also be found on the long, powerful and focused broad-shouldered flavors that deliver a minerally and strikingly textured mouth feel on the gorgeously long finish. Terrific and recommended.

30% whole clusters. Notes of plum and violets precede rich and full-bodied flavors that are concentrated, beautifully textured but quite serious, all wrapped in a firm, ripe and strikingly long finish. A classic Les St. Georges that possesses very fine tannins and an austere finish that will require an ample amount of time to flesh out and fully mature.

Reticent red pinot fruit, warm earth and plum aromas introduce, rich, full and impressively concentrated medium weight plus flavors brimming with dry extract and volume and while the finish delivers excellent drive and length, the tannins are on the finer side for a young Clos de Vougeot. There is the classic youthful austerity as well but this should be more of a medium-term rather than long-term ager.

30% whole clusters. There is good freshness to the unusually lacy and airy nose of red berry fruit, earth and a hint of game that complements well the vibrant, supple and round medium weight plus flavors that possess relatively sophisticated tannins though here there is a slight leanness to the finish and it's not clear why since this seems phenolically ripe. I'm extending the benefit of the doubt that this will flesh out with a decade of bottle age.
