| Domaine Name | Etienne Sauzet |
An equally ripe yet less obviously exotic nose reflects notes of white rose and green fruit that possess the typical Blagny coolness and freshness that continues onto the round, rich and equally textured flavors that possess driving energy on the long and wonderfully intense finish. This is one of the better examples of this wine that Boudot has ever produced.

Here the sulfur is not subtle and will clearly require some time before it is fully integrated as the ripe aromas of peach, pear and citrus struggle to be detected. By contrast there is good verve and punch to the bigger, richer and more concentrated full-bodied flavors that possess notably better depth and length if not the same finesse. Still, this is the more complete wine though be aware that it may not be the best choice to try young due to the SO2; if you are going to try one, be sure to decant it for 20 to 30 minutes first.

Very mild wood influence allows the notably ripe aromas of white peach, pear liqueur and acacia blossom aromas to shine without any material hindrance. The rich, powerful and impressively concentrated large-scaled flavors possess an opulent yet fine mouth feel along with a palate staining, explosive and hugely long finish of almost painful intensity. As it often does at this address, the '09 Sauzet Combettes delivers grand cru level quality.
