Alexandrine has been running this small family domaine for a few years now with real intensity and ambition.
Despite having no 1er Cru vineyards she has made a real name for herself and consistently gets very positive reviews from Burgundy guru, Allen Meadows, aka Burghound.

2007 Gevrey-Chambertin Clos Prieur Tasting Note
Tasting note: A slightly more complex nose of pure red and dark pinot fruit with traces of iron-infused earth, underbrush and a bit of the sauvage that carries over to the rich, full, fresh and equally delicious flavors that possess both fine volume and an attractive texture on the energetic and slightly peppery finish underpinned by relatively fine tannins. Very good quality at this level and worth a look.
