The next decade looks set to be an exciting one for Spain. The contagious passion and ambition of youth that has enveloped Burgundy and the Rhone valley in recent years has now spread to this vibrant country, awakening its vineyards from their slumber and encouraging a new generation of winemakers to really push the boundaries. Its diversity is matched only by its potential, as a plethora of under-perfoming old vine plots are gradually being transformed into well managed, thriving 21st century vineyards.

It will be interesting in the coming years to see which areas rise up to challenge the long established names of the likes of Rioja and Ribera del Duero. Our selection of wineries is gradually expanding so please watch this space closely as we endeavour to uncover more exciting finds.
