It is no secret that André Romero is one of the finest exponents of Rasteau, and has been for some time now.  He makes several different cuvées of Rasteau as well as his own version of Côte-Rôtie and some superb Bordeaux alternatives.

His approach to wine-making very much begins in the vineyards where he works hard to ensure he has high quality fruit to play with. Yields are, unsurprisingly, low and he likes to give the grapes a few days of cold maceration before fermentation. The amount of oak is varied according to the cuvée and the wines are bottled unfiltered. Please note that the top cuvées are in very limited supply.
