This is often Dugat's best 1er and so it appears to be again in 2006 with its finer and slightly fresher nose offering up notably cool and airy aromas of red berry fruit and an intensely mineral character that can also be found on the clean and gorgeously detailed medium-bodied flavors that explode on the borderline strict but exceptionally classy finish. This is an understated but beautiful effort supported by very sophisticated tannins and a Zen-like personality. I really like this, particularly for its impeccable balance.

An expressive and highly floral, earthy and fantastically layered dark berry fruit suffused nose that reflects obvious minerality that transfers over to the silky, pure and stony flavors that culminate in an explosively long and palate staining finish. The minerality here is almost aggressive and this is a wine of style, grace and class and one of the top 1ers of the vintage.
