A cool but equally layered nose is a blend of blue pinot fruit, cherry and earth with background hints of clove and anise that are also picked up by the supple but focused and powerful medium full flavors that are delicious yet serious while possessing excellent depth and length. This is not a big Bonnes Mares but there is muscle present all the same and it will require a few years in the cellar first to really display its full potential. A poised and stylish Bonnes Mares.

Here the nose is ever-so-slightly riper and a bit more deeply pitched as well as there are notes of red and blue fruit that is nuanced with hints of violet and stone. There is good richness and tension to the medium-bodied flavors that possess good mid-palate density, all wrapped in an energetic and refined finish. Worth your consideration.

This offers just a hair more aromatic elegance with its wonderfully pure, cool and layered red pinot fruit and wet stone-inflected nose that is very much in keeping with the delicious, mouth coating and vibrant flavors that are an exercise in harmony and balance. A classic Charmes of grace.

A bright, pure and very Chambolle nose of red pinot fruit leads to supple, round and utterly delicious flavors that exude a lovely freshness and energy on the delicate, clean and refined finish. This is not overly complex, at least not yet but it is a wine of harmony and grace.

This is slightly riper and certainly more aromatically complex with its pretty and attractively nuanced red pinot fruit and violet notes that precede rich, supple and silky middle weight flavors that are also slightly firmer on the persistent, balanced and delicious finish. This should drink well almost immediately yet benefit from 5 to 8 years of cellaring if desired. Interestingly, while this is certainly more complex, it is not necessarily any more refined than the villages. ,br> 91 points Burghound

Here the nose is also slightly riper and more complex if no more elegant with a bit more restraint as well that carries over to the somewhat tighter, sappy, focused and serious flavors that are also blessed with really lovely balance and harmony on the admirably long finish. Again, a classic Chambolle that is a study in grace.
