We held a trade tasting last week in London and one of the stand out wines was this gorgeous Burgundy from one of the region’s current stars. The Hudelot style is all about finesse, purity and elegance. The colour on this is wonderfully pale and the subtle tannins are beautifully integrated.
The aromatics are pure Chambolle and its fragrancy continues through the palate. Upon its release 2007 was categorized as a 'restaurant vintage’, being relatively early drinking and lacking the depth of a great vintage like 2005. Well, you will love this and we suggest you rustle up some guinea fowl and cepes and pretend your dining room is a Michelin-starred restaurant.
This is a steal and a great example of why you should buy Burgundy in all sorts of vintages, not just the super-hyped ones.
