The still family-owned house of Pol Roger dates back to the middle of the nineteenth century. Based in Epernay, Pol Roger continue to make lovely Champagnes that do not get the recognition they deserve. Their most famous client was Sir Winston Churchill, who used to keep various glasses of the stuff on the go in different rooms of his house. He loved the Champagnes so much they named their their top cuvée after him.
