Young, ambitious and obviously talented, Jean-Baptiste Ponsot is someone who appears to be heading towards the top. He has only being bottling under his own label for a few vintages but already he seems very assured and clear about what he is trying to achieve. Each year he has reduced the amount of fruit he sells off to other estates in order to keep up with demand for his own wines, which are already in very short supply. We managed to get an allocation just in time! His style if one of clear defintion and subtlety with good flesh and depth of fruit. An exciting new address worth following.
