Along with Laurent Fournier, Christophe Coillot is the most exciting producer in the energised village of Marsannay. Over the past few vintages he has gained countless plaudits for his wines, both reds and whites. He makes a very pure style, avoiding the easy route of pandering to wine critics who prefer big, extracted wines. And like Laurent he can't keep up with demand which is proof of both his talent and the positive evolution of the appellation. His Cote de Nuits Villages ticks all the right boxes offering both strong Pinot character and bags of terroir personality.
