Visiting this estate last year the wines blew us away. As Burgundy fans we like people who know how to make Pinot Noir and winemaker Sandro Mosele certainly knows how to do that. He has divided up his vineyard into different plots to reflect the differing soil types and each wine shows wonderful individual personality. There is also a freshness and vibrancy about the wines that isn't always apparent with Austrailian offerings. The Chardonnays are made with very much the same sentiment and show lovely minerality and refinement. The top wines are expensive but they have few peers in Australia. They can be drunk now but will go on improving. The 'House' wines are designed to be drunk that bit younger coming from juice from young vines and been vinified to express their fruit in their relative youth.
